Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Copywriter who has spent significant time in China and possesses a profound understanding of the Chinese market and culture. This role demands a creative individual who can craft compelling content that resonates with both local and international audiences, supporting our mission to bridge global brands with the Chinese and broader APAC markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AI to develop and execute creative copy for digital marketing campaigns, social media, and branded content that aligns with our strategic objectives and client needs.
  • Understand and incorporate Chinese / Asian cultural and market insights into content to ensure relevance and engagement with target audiences.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and creative teams to ideate and refine messaging strategies, ensuring a cohesive brand voice across all channels.
  • Conduct thorough research to stay ahead of market trends and consumer behavior in China and the APAC region, leveraging insights to inform content creation.
  • Ensure all copy is optimized for SEO and tailored to platform-specific requirements, enhancing visibility and impact.
  • Participate in client briefings and presentations, providing expert recommendations on content strategy and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Copywriter or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing diverse writing skills across digital platforms.
  • Significant time spent living in or closely associated with China, offering an in-depth understanding of Chinese culture, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in Mandarin highly preferred to effectively communicate and craft content that appeals to Chinese-speaking audiences.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of and experience in other Asian markets (e.g., Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc.), demonstrating an ability to navigate and understand diverse cultural contexts and
  • consumer behaviors across the APAC region.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to quickly adapt and respond to the changing digital landscape in China and the APAC region.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, comfortable working in a fully remote, culturally diverse team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
